In the last week of October, the Pyxis environmental commission, in coordination with the Uruguayan and Colombian teams, joined the LATAM Zero Waste Week.

In both venues they received electronic and technological waste where 410 Kilos of e-waste were collected by different organisations with the aim of reducing the contamination of their materials and reusing them.

It is estimated that more than 30% of this type of waste is found in people’s homes. The main reason is not knowing what to do with it, and how to process it properly.

The correct treatment of this waste is essential, as it is waste with components that present a high danger when it comes to recycling.

The campaign not only included the collaboration of Pyxians and their families, but also different organisations.

This awareness-raising initiative is the second consecutive year that the company has carried it out, and the success with which it was carried out encourages us to repeat it in 2023… Let’s continue on the road to a sustainable Pyxis!
