VMware Explore 2025: Key Highlights from Las Vegas
From September 25–27, our Project Manager Gustavo Vázquez attended VMware Explore in Las Vegas — the annual flagship event of VMware by Broadcom. This year, we joined forces with AT, HG, AGESIC, and ANTEL to learn firsthand about the company’s latest developments alongside 10,000 professionals from around the world.
The main announcements were centered on the recent release of vCloud Foundation (vCF) 9, consolidating it as VMware’s reference private cloud solution:
Unified platform: Streamlining products into vCF as the core offering, now including functionalities such as multitenancy and advanced monitoring.
Expanded GPU support: Beyond NVIDIA, vCF now integrates Intel and AMD GPUs, with enhancements in monitoring and vMotion.
Private AI module: Enabling AI capabilities natively within vCF, extending beyond GPU management at the hypervisor level.
Enterprise Ubuntu support: Thanks to a partnership with Canonical, vCF now officially supports Ubuntu both as a VM OS and within Kubernetes environments.
Beyond the product announcements, VMware Explore stood out as a meeting point for strategic networking. The event provided opportunities to strengthen relationships with Broadcom as a service provider and reinforce ATP’s positioning as a PSO partner in the Latin American market. It also served as a valuable space for understanding how global organizations are approaching private cloud adoption, hybrid infrastructure, and AI-readiness.
