During the week of 24-29 October we received electronic and technological waste at our offices in Uruguay and Colombia.
The LATAM Zero Waste Week is an international campaign that consists of activities to raise awareness about consumption and waste generated, as well as its final disposal.
The intention is to sensitise society and its most important actors to change the relationship with natural resources, and to disseminate the concept of Zero Waste in more than 10 countries in Latin America.
In this context, the Pyxis Environmental Commission, with members in Montevideo and Medellín, together with the Intendencia, have taken up last year’s initiative and are receiving electronic waste from Pyxis members, their environment and anyone else who has it at home.
How do you treat your electronic waste?
Bring them to Pyxis! What we collect will be sent to different organisations that are in charge of processing this kind of waste in order to give it a proper treatment, reducing pollution and reusing its inputs.
What can you leave?
Cables
Disks
Memory sticks
Chargers
Keyboards
Monitors
Mobile phones
Appliances (small)
