Flexi, one of the leading footwear brands in Mexico, partnered with Pyxis to modernize its digital commerce platform and support the growth of multiple brands across international markets. By implementing a headless commerce architecture on SAP Commerce, Flexi was able to launch four independent e-commerce storefronts—Flexi MX, Flexi USA, Quirelli, and Capa de Ozono—within a single multi-site architecture. This approach enabled each brand to maintain a unique digital experience while centralizing business logic and ensuring scalability, stability, and compliance with SAP Clean Core standards.
In this customer story, we explore how Flexi leveraged headless SAP Commerce and composable architecture principles to build a flexible, future-ready e-commerce ecosystem capable of supporting its continued growth in the retail industry.
Flexi needed to launch and operate four e-commerce stores within SAP Commerce while ensuring a consistent and scalable architecture across all brands.
The main challenges included:
Flexi required a technology partner capable of delivering a scalable digital commerce ecosystem while minimizing technical debt and ensuring a smooth technological transition.
Pyxis partnered with Flexi to design and implement a headless, multi-site e-commerce architecture on SAP Commerce capable of supporting multiple brands within a centralized platform.
The project included the implementation of four production storefronts: Flexi MX, Flexi USA, Quirelli, and Capa de Ozono. By adopting a headless approach, the front-end layer was fully decoupled from the commerce platform, allowing each brand to maintain its own visual identity and user experience while sharing a centralized and robust backend.
The solution also included the configuration of region-specific catalogs, the integration of international payment gateways, and the orchestration of services through a composable architecture aligned with SAP Clean Core principles.
In addition, Pyxis provided the technical documentation required for the multi-site architecture, Backoffice configuration manuals, and deployment protocols to ensure a stable and reliable launch.
The project successfully delivered four production-ready storefronts operating under a headless architecture, meeting all agreed objectives and milestones.
Key outcomes included:
The new architecture enables each Flexi brand to maintain aesthetic and commercial independence while benefiting from centralized business logic and operational efficiency.
The collaboration also strengthened Flexi’s internal processes through transparent project management and proactive risk mitigation.
As highlighted by Leticia Amezquita, Product Owner at Flexi:
