Pyxis directors travelled to Switzerland and affirmed their presence in Europe.
Gerardo Valeri, CEO of Pyxis, accompanied Diego Sastre and Alejandro Mateo to Switzerland with several objectives, among which were to seek alliances and validate certain models, in addition to making contacts to strengthen ties. On the other hand, it was also an opportunity to visit clients.
The city of Zug, in particular, has earned the nickname «Crypto Valley» due to the number of blockchain and cryptocurrency technology companies that have established themselves there. The widespread adoption of blockchain in Switzerland has been driven by a favourable regulatory framework and an innovative business culture.
Blockchain is a distributed recording technology that allows a network of users to reliably record transactions without the need for a central authority. This technology is based on the use of a blockchain, in which each block contains a series of transactions and is chained to previous blocks by means of a cryptographic link.
In this way, any network user can verify the accuracy of transactions without relying on a third party.
Companies looking to expand into the European market can count on a solid legal framework and a range of resources and tools to help them develop in that region.
In the words of Alejandro Mateo: «Europe showed that it is a market that is closer than one might think; we are not so far away and opportunities can be found. It is still very important to meet, to get to know, to be in person. It generates another type of relationship, another type of opportunity and clearly if we want to be in Europe it will require us to move more towards Europe.
Diego Sastre told us: «we went to Switzerland and found a great development in the blockchain world, we saw there a maturity and a very important push from both technology companies and users, different from what we have seen so far in the rest of the world. We were able to make contact with the community of people who work in this technology, who have already assimilated it and who are using it in a lot of innovative things, and what this allowed us to do was to validate some of our own ideas».
In conclusion, this visit to Europe opens new doors for Pyxis. Valuable business relationships were established with several European companies. In addition, there was the opportunity to validate their innovative technology in several key meetings, which generated great interest in their products.
